At Maine Insurance Benefits Group, we’re actively monitoring the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) via the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), and instituting practices to ensure the health and safety of our employees, agents and customers.
We do not anticipate any interruption to business in servicing our clients and helping the public with their insurance needs. We have precautions in place for keeping our office space clean and sanitized to the best of our ability including, encouraging all of our brokers and clients to wash their hands before and after meetings, replace shaking hands with an elbow bump or friendly wave, maintaining 3 feet distance from others.
In addition, we have technology available that would allow us to do phone or virtual meetings. We think that adopting these extra practices will not slow business down but will help to prevent the spread of the virus and ensure everyone’s safety.
